CERAMIC COATING
what is ceramic coat?
A ceramic coating is a liquid polymer applied coating applied over a freshly buffed and decontaminated paint surface that chemically bonds to factory paint. It creates a semi-permanent, glossy protective layer that repels water, dirt, and road grime while lasting anywhere from 2 to 9+ years depending on the formula
What it does
Shed Water: Creates a high water-repelling (hydrophobic) surface so rain and mud slide right off.
Boost Shine: Gives the paint a deep, mirror-like gloss and rich appearance.
Block Contaminants: Stops bird droppings, tree sap, and road salts from etching directly into the clear coat.
Simplify Washing: Keeps the car clean longer and makes washing much faster
Common Q&A
What is it made of? Primarily silicon dioxide (SiO₂) or silica suspended in a resin carrier.
how does it differ from wax? Waxes sit temporarily on top of the paint and last weeks or months. Ceramic coatings form a permanent or semi-permanent molecular chemical bond lasting 2-10 years.
Can it go over wax? No. Any old wax, sealant, or grease must be removed via machine polishing so the formula can anchor directly into the clear coat pores.
